About CRCDE
 
CRCDE was established in 2010, focusing its research on postgraduate education and doctoral education in particular. Basing on the continuous large-scale national surveys of doctoral education in China, it concerns all the important aspects of doctoral education, from policy to management, from students’ supervision to quality assurance, and values not only empirical research and practice-oriented study, but also theoretical and historical inquires.
CRCDE is affiliated to the Graduate School of Education, Peking University. Its research team consists of faculty from the PKU and other universities and institutes as well. Over the years, CRCDE has conducted many research projects and surveys funded by Academic Degrees Office of the Chinese State Council, China Academic Degrees & Graduate Education Development Center and Chinese Academy of Engineering, and participated in the draft of several government documents. CRCDE cooperates closely with the Graduate School of the PKU, and is actively connected with many higher education institutions around the world, such as the Department of Education Policy Studies (EPS)  at the University of Wisconsin-Madison (America), and the International Higher Education Center in Kassel University (Germany).
