Department of Educational Economics and Administration

The Department of Educational Economics and Administration offers M.A. and Ph.D. programs in educational economics and administration. The department provides interdisciplinary and methodological courses, including economics of education, education finance, and educational statistics. Its research projects focus on college graduates employment, educational revenues and expenditures, education and economic development, education choice and return, and education and equity, most of which have significant policy or practical implications. At the same time, the department is engaged in theoretical inquiry in economics of education. The department is strong in empirical research that is well informed by existing theories and utilizes mixed methods. The department offers consultation services to governments and other organizations.
