Qin Chunhua
Qin Chunhua is a Research Professor at Education Policy and Management Department in the Graduate School of Education, and the Director of Institute of Examination Research,Peking University.
Trained in the area of economics, Prof. QIN holds both bachelor and doctoral degrees from School of Economics, PKU. His scholarship focuses on economics, media and communication, as well as educational studies. He has published several monographs and textbooks such as The Study on Financial Functions in Economic System-Change (2009), Media Economics (2011), A Comparative Research on the College Admission in China and the U.S. (2016), in addition to numerous journal articles and research projects. He is a research fellow at Tehua Institute of Economics, and Center for China Studies at La Trobe University, and serves as a member of expert committees for a variety of government agencies, public medias, and professional groups.
Prof. QIN has extensive experiences on the higher education management, through working at different administrative branches and positions at PKU, including the Deputy Director for Office of Educational Administration and Head of Undergraduate Student Admission Office. He is acclaimed as the nation’s leading expert on the college entrance exam reform and the innovative ways to assess the performance and potential of students. He travels and lectures around the world to observe, compare, analyze and advocate the effective approaches from different countries for this purpose.
