Bao Wei
Associate Professor Bao Wei is an associate professor of higher education in the graduate school of education at Peking University and severed as head of Education Administration and Policy Program. She received her BA in education from Kyushu University, her master’s degree and PhD in sociology of education from the University of Tokyo. Before working at Peking University, She held appointment at Tokyo University Center of Research on University Management and Policy.
Her research interests include the effects of college on student learning and educational attainment; finance of higher education; private higher education. She has published more than 80 peer-reviewed journal articles in Chinese, Japanese and English. The Program for New Century Excellent Talent in University of Ministry of Education of China has provided financial support for her research in 2012. Her latest book, Unfinished Transformation: College Impact on Student Development (Education Science Publishing House, 2014) received the Award of Honour from the China Association of Higher Education, Beijing City Federation of Social Science Circles, and Ministry of Education in 2016.
