International Conference on Blended Learning and International Symposium on Educational Technology

From July 19 to 21, 2016, International Conference on Blended Learning and International Symposium on Educational Technology was held successfully at Peking University. This meeting was co-organized by Graduate School of Education of Peking University (PGSE) and City University of Hong Kong. The conference aimed to explore the way of integrating computer science and technology with traditional learning, and build a virtual learning environment with the help of new technology, so as to improve learning efficiency and enrich study experience. More than 200 guests, experts, scholars and postgraduates participating the meeting had heated discussions on the theory, design, development and evaluation of blended learning.

Research professor Wang Zhuzhu, Chief of the National Center for Educational Technology, Prof. Yang Hao from the State University of New York, Prof. Chen Li, Vice-president of Beijing Normal University, Prof. Ye Haosheng, Vice-president of City University of Hong Kong, Prof. Michael Williams from the Pepperdine University, delivered marvelous addresses respectively in the meeting.
Nearly 70 experts reported their newest research results in sub fourums. Prof. Li Kedong, Zhang Shaogang, Wu Di, Xie Youru, Wang Qiong, and Guo Linke, all made wonderful project presentations.
The co-organizers awarded certificates to the authors of top and excellent conference papers in the closing ceremony. Dr. Shang Junjie, associate dean of PGSE, addressed the closing speech. The next International Conference on Blended Learning and International Symposium on Educational Technology will be held at City University of Hong Kong in 2017.
